🩸

Lie down, raise your legs, and let us know.
✅ Immediate Aftercare
Keep the dressing on for at least 15–30 minutes. If bleeding continues, apply firm pressure with a clean cloth.
Drink plenty of water and have something to eat if you have been fasting — this helps prevent dizziness.
Rest for a few minutes before leaving, especially if you felt lightheaded during the test.
Avoid heavy lifting or strenuous use of the arm used for the blood draw for the rest of the day.
If the site is bruised or sore, a cool compress (wrapped in a cloth — not directly on skin) can help reduce swelling.
🟢 What's Perfectly Normal
A small bruise or discolouration at the puncture site lasting up to a week
Mild tenderness when pressing on the site for 1–2 days
Feeling slightly tired or lightheaded immediately afterwards, especially if fasting
A tiny scab or pinprick mark at the site for a few days
